Over the many years of her practice, Dr. Mailis Gagnon hase seen numerous medicolegal cases for long term disability and personal injury (car accidents, slip and fall accidents, assaults etc), both on behalf of a) lawyers for the plaintiff, ie. the person who sues someone, and the defense, ie. the lawyers for the defendant or the person against whom there is a lawsuit; b) tribunals, or c) mediation and adjudication hearings.

She has also served as an expert witness in cases involving medical doctors and the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA).
